Emily Coady
MANAGING DIRECTOR, LOUISIANA DELTA
Manages partnerships with local schools and communities, fundraising, and is responsible for supporting corps communication and pre-service learning.
Although she is a native of South Dakota, Emily fell in love with the south during her time with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita relief on the Gulf Coast. She went on to graduate from Seton Hall University with a degree in international relations. She was a 2010 charter Louisiana Delta corps member teaching 5th grade at Wright Elementary in Tallulah, during which she helped lead many service projects in the school and community, and even started a soccer team with some other teachers. She spent her summers working for the Louisiana Department of Education and was a Corps Member Adviser at Delta Institute. After spending a year as a Clinton Fellow working to create an English curriculum in rural India, Emily returned to the Louisiana Delta in her current role, where's able to spend more time with her godson, Cameron, pictured with her above.

Adam Gordon
MANAGER, TEACHER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Develops teachers to ensure they achieve ambitious goals with students and works with teachers to maximize their effectiveness and impact in the classroom.
Adam was born and raised in Carlsbad, California, a suburb of San Diego. Early on, he witnessed educational inequities within the school as access to certain educational opportunities were split down racial lines. His understanding of systematic injustices in education deepened during his studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied both psychology and education, culminating in a thesis presentation on inter-group friendships in schools at the 2012 Annual Conference for the Association for Psychological Science. In 2012 he became a corps member in Concordia Parish as part of the first group to be hired there. As the only corps member at his school, he taught 8th grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra and helped build relationships with the school, district, and community. After his two year commitment he worked at Delta Institute as a corps member adviser (CMA) and joined the Louisiana Delta staff.
