Application Information
The Basics
The application for the 2015 corps is now open! Click here to apply.
Our admissions process is designed to help us identify whether applicants possess the characteristics we’ve seen in our most successful corps members. We admit people whose unique strengths convince us that they have what it takes to lead students to significant academic success.
Applications are non-binding. Subsequent rounds of the admissions process can include an online activity, phone interview, and final in-person or virtual interview. If you are admitted to the corps, you will attend summer training beginning in late May or early June 2015 and begin teaching in fall 2015 regardless of the deadline by which you apply.

Choosing When to Apply
Two things are required to be admitted to Teach For America: 1) the Selection Committee must determine that you meet our standards for admission and 2) we must be confident that we can place you in a teaching position in one of our regions. The admissions criteria are the same across all five deadlines.
We partner with communities and school districts across the country to determine how many corps members are needed nationally each year. If some of our partner regions still need corps members after our January 30 deadline due to changing demand or other factors, we may extend our application window to meet the needs of all of our partner communities. Given the uncertainty of regional demand and the limited regional placement options after January 30, we recommend you apply to one of our five deadlines – August 22, 2014; September 12, 2014; October 24, 2014; December 5, 2014; and January 30, 2015.
Please ensure that you will not have any scheduling conflicts with required phone or in-person interview dates before submitting your application.
