Certification Information
We work to ensure all our teachers are certified and highly qualified in the state of Louisiana.
Some corps members come to our region already certified and will transfer their existing licenses over to Louisiana if they are certified in another state already, in addition to passing the Praxis II exams (if not yet taken) in their content areas to be highly qualified. Corps members that do not come in already certified have the choice of two programs, TNTP Academy & Louisiana College (more info below), and must also take the Praxis II exams to become highly qualified with a Practitioner's License working towards Level 1 Certification (generally achieved by their second year in the classroom).
